Winter Confections: Products on Parade
If Chicagoland favorite Marshall Field’s (now Macy’s) were to outfit its windows with new confectionery products for the winter holiday season, the following might be among the colorful candies on display. Let it snow!

Snack Product Update
Buffalo Peanuts are dry roasted peanuts coated with a mixture of brown sugar and cayenne pepper. Roasting without oil extends the shelf life for Buffalo Peanuts, which are certified Kosher, to 12 months.

Candy Product Update
The latest addition to the Starburst line is GummiBursts. These liquid-filled gummies, which will make their debut in the spring, are made with real fruit juice. Pack types include 1.5-ounce singles with a suggested retail price of 65 cents and 6-ounce bags with a suggested retail price of $1.49.

Spangler Candy Co. is getting out the vote. The Bryan, Ohio-based candy maker, which produces 8 million Dum Dum Pops per day, wants the American public to choose the next two flavors for its assortment.
