Created in 1923, the first “filled” candy bar in the U.S. celebrates its 85th birthday this year. Originally made to mimic the taste of a malted milk shake, the milk chocolate, nougat and caramel-filled Milky Way bar has been an American favorite for decades. To celebrate the anniversary, Mars Snackfood is sending a refurbished 1970’s era station wagon around the country to bring karaoke, photos and product sampling to fairs and festivals. The Milky Way Road trip will take place this summer.

In addition, this summer Milky Way is sponsoring the Great American Country Tour Bus, which will be stopping at some of the biggest concerts and music festivals in the U.S. and delivering samples and great country music.
